Reckenmark Academy
Atop a plateau overlooking the plains that stretch to the Sword Coast, Reckenmark Academy is about four days ride from village of Bogdown. Its college of warfare trains troops which provide protections for those that contribute or contract services.
Once a great military and political force, Reckenmark is now a fraction of its former glory. Over the past couple of generations, most of the baronies, cities, and villages in the region stopped sending able-bodied people to train as soldiers, and few continue to contribute much to the coffers. The once grand halls stand in disrepair. Ruin touches the once great walls of the keep. Yet, the well worn barracks and training grounds are functional. In what was once the courtyard soldiers practice and train, working hard to one day regain an honoured place.
The college library contains an extensive collection of volumes covering all manners of warfare and histories of wars and heroes.
Birthplace of Caius and his family including his grandmother Mordread who posed as his mother, his mother Kitria who posed as his older sister, and Vulheim who is actually his uncle.
Other notable individuals include the Paeliks, Fredda and Saroato and the formidable Chien Mei.
Caius recalls that Dian Cecht is described in a book in the library, which is naturally of interest to Kais.
