Title

Carlo (the priest) agrees that we may burn the bodies before the wake, but a wake is traditional for the hobbits. Ezri druidcrafts some flowers to lay upon the bodies of the fallen hobbits and Reckenmark troops, including Volheim.

Ezri heals Caius, after washing his wounds in whiskey (not for any reason, just because it hurts).

Reckenmark is keeping watch along the wall.

Kais gathers the dead enemies and builds a pyre to destroy the bodies. The bodies of the undead burn surprisingly well.

Caius takes Mei aside and explains everything to her about his story. Mei seems taken aback, and especially the relation to her father seemingly wanting her to be a son.

Bree was sleeping, but wakes up after an hour or so, to the sound of an eggshell cracking. Over the course of a couple hours, a blue-grey lizard foot emerges from the egg. Eventually a baby basilisk emerges, climbs up on Bree, and begs. Bree finds some chicken behind the bar of the inn and feeds it. Bree notices that the eyes close and stop glowing for a bit whenever she feeds it, and the eyes glow again when it wants food.

The drow corpses are finally burnt to the point of being unrecognizable. The party rests, some of the Reckenmark troops keep watch (6 at a time).

We follow the tracks of the drow that fled. After a while it is clear that they were not running toward the cave.

Bree and Mei ride to Clamsford to let the hobbits know that the battle is over, and Bree will buy some spell components. They arrive in just a day. Bree informs them about the battle and the fallen. Bree's parents ask if she is staying in Bogdown. Bree explains that she cannot stay in Bogdown, because eventually Ilvara will come back, and will be after us. Bree's mom looks unbelievably angry, and leaves the room cursing. Bree confronts her, and her mom explains that her Patron told her that if she entertained her, Bree would be kept safe. Bree promises her mom that if we manage to finish the problem with the Abyss, she will come home (although it is not at all clear if she means it).

Bree gets a glass eye, a jewel horn, and ?

Bree rides out at dark.
