Our adventurers rest early so that Eldeth may recover. Only an hour into their slumber, the watch wakes the party for something approaches. Just as most have readied themselves, the party is beset by a bunch of strange mosquito-bat-like creatures who suck great deals of blood from their victims. Fortunately for our heroes, these frail creatures are easily dealt with.
The party encounters a side cave with tiny mushrooms in it and a glowing ceiling. Everything in it looks like a smaller version of their environment. It reminds the party of a past cave that had been embued with magic and decked out with a similar ceiling. Bree tests this cave's magic because she can't help herself and immediately grows 10 inches taller. Bree is now 4 feet tall.
Bree charms the leaders of the two patrols and suggests that we should all go back to the city together, as friends; they accept.
Upon arriving in Sloodublop, we see walls made from net and seaweed and such. The buildings are as if made of giant mud balls, some stacked three balls high. After being ushered into the city, they see a statue of what they learn is the Sea Mother carved of wood, the arms of which are augmented with actual claws and there is the head of a giant lobster for the statue's head. An offering is in progress. People give shells or other found things. The newcomers are encouraged to make an offering if they wish. As the forests with their rivers feed the sea, so Autun offers forth a piece of firewood. Some Kuo-toa regurgitate in offering, and this seems to set off Ezri who turning more green also makes an offering in similar fashion; it is obvious that the Kuo-toa are impressed that an outsider would offer in this traditional way.
