With the growing understanding that help will be needed to deal with the Pudding King, the Diggermattocks request that members of Stool's Irregulars send message to Chipgrin Goldwhisker that they will receive him and an envoy of his choosing, or they are willing to meet on more neutral ground. Ezri and Autun take the opportunity to pick up their new armor, as Cais, Kais, and Bree go to Goldwhisker to pass on the message.
Chipgrin agrees to go and meet the Diggermattocks immediately. His chosen companions do not seem to be body-guards, thus perhaps they are members of high standing in his group.
The truce negotiation is tense, but all are clearly approaching it in as good-faith a manner as they can. The Burrow Warden will, indeed, ensure the proper care of the dead. Chipgrin is concerned for the safety of his people, and it is agreed that the police will protect them from abuse. Chipgrin seems to want to push for a more immediate and complete integration than the Diggermattocks and their group seem ready for, but Chipgrin doesn't press the point too hard. Much discussion happens around how much military, police, and militia can be assembled to face the Putting King -- there is a stark realization that the combined force seems thin, even if they are able to add in some elementals. In the end, a truce is negotiated. The barriers will go down, there will start to be some social exchanges, Goldwhisker's people will be able to live in Blingdenstone if they wish, and importantly the officers and sergeants of each group will meet to work out how to tactically manage combatants who are not yet fully ready to trust. Much to everyone's surprise, the Burrow Warden says that some of their ancestors will rise to aid them in their fight.
The irregulars agree to find Entemoch's Boon, the place where the earth elementals will be safe to summon prior to battle. Nomi Pathshutter thinks they need to go at least a day away and she gives directions of sorts, descriptive of mine's end.
Before setting out, the group sleeps. Autun dreams of a stone forest, all the animals are rat-based. Bree dreams of walking through caves; one has pillars that look man-named and seem to be glowing, and the singing of her patron, Nathair Sgiathach can be heard. Cais dreams of leading a mixed army. As he is readying for battle he hear's "We're her to fight princess Elomire" .... Ezri dreams of being a badger, and for her the ground becomes stickey and she sinks into quicksand. Shuushar dreams of walking through strange parts of the Underdark. His skin becomes increasingly slimy; he wask up clammy in his sheets. Rumpadump tells of a dream of being an adult handing out beer.
After breakfast it seems Kais is finally recovered from the jumpiness. The group departs through the mining district. After a while the feeling of the weird shift happens, and then more times, this time most of the party keeps the contents of their stomachs. After some time they see the worked stone end and the caves start. They proceed concluding that this matches Nomi's description.
Ahead they hear voices in elvish. Sirene flys by and confirms they are drow but is spotted. Bree and Kais ready an ambush and Autun and Caius round the corner and announce that they are seeking the Bregan D'aerthe!
