Our adventurers encountered several quaggoth (great and strange wolf-like creatures) serving the Drow in Velkynvelve. The adventurers witnessed Sarith, the captive Drow, order some quaggoth to retreat to their pen. They also witnessed Derendil, in quaggoth form, decapitate a Drow with his gruesome claws.
