Creatures
- Carrion crawler - large worm-like cephalopods that scavenge
- Derro - a type of underdark dwarf, former slaves of the Duergar, now liberated but many live in poverty
- Duergar - the Gray Dwarves, found in the Underdark
- Firbolg - the smallest of the giant-kind, tending to matters of the forest
- Grick Alpha - body like a giant worm, head like a giant octopus
- Hook Horror - aberrations with front limbs with sharp, blade-like hooks
- Kuo-toa - fish-headed people
- Myconid - mushroom people of the underdark
- Quaggoth - a wolf-like creature
- Rothe - bovine-like creatures found in the underdark, communicate by somehow emitting lights
- Shambling Mounds - mobile, carnivorous shrubs

Mushrooms

- Trillimac - edible mushroom, comes in large sheets
- Ripplebark - woody-tasting but edible mushroom
- Water orbs - mushroom which can act similar to a wineskin
- Zurkhwood - mushroom which can be a suitable replacement for wood
