- Derro - a type of underdark dwarf, former slaves of the Gray Dwarves, now liberated
- Duergar - the Gray Dwarves, found in the Underdark
- Grick Alpha - body like a giant worm, head like a giant octopus
- Kuo-toa - fish-headed people
- Myconids - mushroom people of the underdark
- Quaggoth - a wolf-like creature
- Rothe - bovine-like creatures found in the underdark, communicate by somehow emitting lights
- Shambling Mounds - mobile, carnivorous shrubs
- Bree's Book of Shadows
- Goggles of Night
- Pygmywort - mushrooms Bree found, if eaten will make the eater very small (mouse sized) for an hour or so.
- Blue cap - the spores are useful for making flour
- Trillimac - edible mushroom, comes in large sheets
- Ripplebark - woody-tasting but edible mushroom
- Water orbs - mushroom which can act similar to a wineskin
- Zurkhwood - mushroom which can be a suitable replacement for wood
