First we have to do a little space walking to do the refuel thing, so that we can jump again. Krrsh informs us that the stash we grab fuel from contains at least some contaminated supplies as a way to deter theft. Brick & Franky attempt to refuel the ship form the outside. Need some help from Stigo to get the couplings sorted, but eventually team brawn gets the job done.
Then, we jump to Theev, where we encounter a darling little moon in the shape of a skull. Like. Who in their right mind first decides to make space art... and then decides to make it a skull? So gauche. Anyway.
Krrsh barks some stuff into a microphone. It gets the job done. We gets told we may proceed to the low port, with the understanding that if we are refused entry there, we'll be blown straight out of the gravity well by the uh... skull's eye lasers. Or something equally bizarre. McSpaceportHell.
We hail the low port, get permission to land and are assigned Bay 27. Upon inspection we see that all bays are enclosed, meaning that we have no clue of who else is docked here. We observe no unusual planetary defenses - everything seems pretty standard.
Krrsh advises that we will want to speak to Miria first to get to Ferrik. It turns out that Ferrik is not allowed on Theev due to Darokyn's influence on the planet. Instead, Miria operates as Ferrik's right hand.
A download from my database confims what Krssh explains: the 'Widows of Blacksand' rule Theev. Blacksand has an upper city, in which tjhere is a strict rule of no violence upon pain of death. In lower city, there is no established form of law, unless you are in a 'red flag area'. These areas move around at random times, supposedly.
The only other kind of crime, is that which does damage the habitat.
Once we take up our landing bay and disembark (we leave Frankie, Stigo and Pent aboard) we are greeted by a Widow. She explains to us the rulke of law as we have learned it.
We decide to do a bit of reconnaissance - passing ourselves off as antique dealers with an interest in military artefacts (conveniently of the kind taht were taken during the Clarke raid). We check out room prices at the ??? hotel and decide that ti is rather spicy for our liking.
Moving our explorations closer to the lower city, we hop into a karaoke bar, where we find a few washed up regulars hanging out. We snatch a table. Having barely made our way through the first round, a horrifying sound begins to cut through they air.
We find a bar – Randy goes and gets drinks and makes acquaintance with a shady figure at the bar who goes by Shanti. Randy includes him in our drink order and I learn of the experience of ‘blue milk’.
A widow cuts a hole in the roof and executes a bar patron. [under construction]
The bartender complains about not getting insurance. Randy tells the bartender that we're looking to buy antiques.
We go to a 2nd bar.
Shanti

Bartender recommends a hotel in the Cliff District.
90 cr a night lodging. We bring Shanti in.
We speculate about Cassius Belli’s motive.
