State: Kais is standing near Ilvara's corpse and is planning to try to make sure she does not stand up again.

There are two archers in tower F and one on the ground near tower E.

Sirene is near the modern art that is the remains of mage 2.

• Mage 3 casts lightning bolt at the farmers and kills them.
• The shadow demon claws at Caius, misses, and then seems to disappear.
• Autun charges forward with Ijmer and slices the head off of Mage 3 with the sunsword. Sunlight shines from his eyes as he drops.
• Kais and the archers shoot at the drow, but miss
• Ezri downs a drow with acid arrow
• Bree sees the shadow demon hiding and fairy fires it
• Caius downs the Greater Healing, blade wards, and heads toward the Reckenmark troops. It does 11 points of psychic damage as Caius leaves melee.
• Reckenmark 1 attacks drow 3; Reckenmark 2 attacks drow 2
• Rocky attacks drow 1 and thumps two of them.
• A strange darkness falls. The shadow demon's ears twitch, then it flies after Caius. A rift opens near Ilvara's corpse and an ill wind comes from it. A huge wand with a skull comes through the rift. Seven disembodied spirits come from the rift; the three slain mages rise as noncorporeal creatures; Ilvara rises as an undead creature still covered by the one net. A madness falls upon everyone who saw it (and fails their wis save):
  • Bandel falls unconscious
  • Kais is enraged and will attack the nearest creature
  • Ezri begins babbling in an unknown language
  • Bree is overcome with fear of the rift and must flee from it
  • Archer 1 is frighted and will flee from the rift
  • Reckenmark 1 begins babbling incoherently; Reckenmark 2 hallucinate and have disadvantage on ability checks
  • Rocky will follow orders from anyone that talks to him, and won't do anything else.
• Autun hits one of the wraith-mages and severely damages it.
