The adventurers sleep.

Ezri dreams of her wife, but something is terribly wrong - Vayana has six fingers on each hand.

Caius dreams that during a performance, a group of beautiful women literally tear him to pieces.

Bree dreams of being home, but she recognizes that it is not really home. Her mother admonishes her not to steal the curtains.

Jimjar dreams he just won a bet. He's counting the gold, but the pile of gold doesn't seem to end. At the same time he is reveling in his accumulating wealth, but uncomfortable with how much he is enjoying it.

Shuushar dreams of eating fish until he cannot eat any more.

Autun dreams of the forest above, all the animals in mating season.

In the waking world, we get word that the Wyrmsmith wants to meet with us, and are informed that he is a red dragon. We are guided by a couple Keepers of the Flame to meet him, outside of the Dark Lake district.

Themberchaud turns out to be a very fat red dragon. He tells us that the Keepers of the Flame will ask us to do something, but that he suspects they are hiding something from him, and he wants us to investigate.

As we leave, the Keepers do indeed give us a task - an egg was stolen by the local Thieves' Guild - presumably a dragon egg. They will give us 1000GP for its safe return. We get some pins with a dragon motif which will let us pass out of the Dark Lake District, if we need that in our investigations. We inform the Keepers that we are also working for Errde Blackskull, but that we think these two tasks are congruent.

Back at the hotel, we learn that the mushrooms Bree found in her room are Pygmywort, which will make you very small (mouse sized) for an hour or so. We decide to each carry one.

Bree gets a tattoo of a smiley face on the center of her chest.

Caius talks to the kids who are listening to him play, and learns that there are tunnels under the city. The entrance is in the Darro district.

Kais finally contacts Droki, the Derro who has been sneaking around with the weird hat. He says that he cannot directly help Kais but that Kais should follow him to learn what's going on. Droki also thinks that the guard (whassname the gate guard) was responsible for the attack on the merchant on the docks.

Autun is trying to reach Errde to inform her of our recent recruitment by the Keepers. Kais meets him outside the guard tower, but before they can update each other, a giant runs screaming into the square. The city guards attack him. Kais runs in the direction he came from, and encounters another giant. He learns that the two were camped outside, when the screaming one jumped up and started screaming and running for no reason that the other can discern. Kais runs back to the first giant to try to keep the guards from killing him before he can be questioned. One of the guards was killed by in the struggle. Autun manages to calm the guards and the screaming giant,named Rihuud. Kais notices that there are six fingers on the giant's hands - he asks Dorhun, the second giant, if he has always had six fingers, and learns that he did not. "Good reason to start screaming" observes Kais. The giants want to return to their leader to report this. Autun is surprised in their talk to hear his name - and learns that in Giant his name means "little brother from the woods" and is perhaps Giant for Firbolg rather than a proper name. The giants invite us to join them. Autun must keep his appointment with Errde, report the death of the guard, and inform the others, so Kais and Jimjar go with the giants.
