Drow, sometimes called "Dark Elves", are one of the major groups that inhabit the [[Underdark]]. Drow, sometimes called "Dark Elves", are one of the major groups that inhabit the Underdark. They are known to surface dwellers mostly as story book examples of evil with a reputation for merciless slavery. From what glimpses you have caught of their society, they seem to have a deeply hierarchical organization based on magical ability, pride and power. Their pantheon of gods is known as the Dark Selderij of which the Demon Queen Lolth is supreme.
The adventurers were captured by drow and taken to the Underdark drow outpost of Velkynvelve to be as slaves. They escaped their cell and after a tangle with Ilvara, the band fled the outpost. Later they managed to strike up some form of friendship with a trio of Bregan D'aerthe.
