The day started with a difficult conversation, one of the Irregulars has finally reached their home and is now with his family once more. When we leave [[Blingdenstone]], should he remain there?
[[Jimothy Tapfinger]], the second best sniper, the terrifying translator, the dread gambler.. We might soon be without. Many have fallen along the way, but he survived. Thrived even.
No longer a bet-crazy wreck of a gnome, but now an honoured member of our Adventuring Party.
We all have seen his trepidation upon returning, the looks he has received.  Is it not better for him to remain with us? His New Family?
With sorrow in our hearts we conclude that it is here he belongs. Where we go, towards the sun, he has no place… Jimjar shall stay.
But will he be accepted? Perhaps if the people here know how his mettle was tested, that he is a Gnome reforged, someone who can be relied upon..


Discussion about Jimothy, He should stay in Blingdenstone and be with his family.
I now know the first song of tonight.
We decide to visit the WereRats after the party because we would not want to miss it!
Bree takes the Elemental Hearts and goes to visit Nomi.
Nomi asks Bree to help her pick out clothing for the party.
She also informs Bree that the Elementals corruption could be cause by Orgemoch Bane, a vile wind originating from somewhere near Blingdenstone.
A fabled location named Entemochs boon has a magical property that prevents the Earth Elementals madness.
Bree hands the Earth Elemental hearts to Nomi


Meanwhile, Autun visits Thrane, the dwarf Armorer, where he has his new breastplate fitted.

With these things discussed on empty stomachs, we gather around the table in the common room of the Foaming Mug. Tappy serves a fine meal and we discuss the matters at hand.  
Autun invites Thrane to the upcoming festivities and learns the origin of Forge Whiskey, cavefisher insides reduced on the forge to a strong liquor.
The party tonight leaves us little time to pay a visit to the Wererat enclave on the outskirts of town, it would be terrible form to miss the festivities we partially instigated. Also, I must admit that I’ve grown curious of the taste of properly prepared Cave Fisher. A day of preparation is sorely needed. Our endless march though this forsaken realm has left many of us with coin to spend and a desire to undergo some retailer therapy. There is also the matter of dealing with this batch of corrupted Earth Elemental Hearts… We do live an interesting life.


Ezri visits the Leatherworker Kez, who loves, ney, Adores his chosen materials. "Hard" at work, indeed.
[[Bree]] takes these Earth Elemental Hearts and pays [[Nomi Pathshutter]] a visit. Nomi  is delighted with the company and asks Bree if she could help her pick out clothing for the party. Bree selects a black dress for her with a polka dot pattern, quite different from her usual breeks and tunic style of dress. While trying out different outfits, she informs Bree that the Elemental corruption could be caused by something called [[Ogremoch's Bane]], a vile wind originating from somewhere near Blingdenstone. She also mentioned a fabled location named [[Entemoch's Boon]], which is said to have a magical properties that prevent the Earth Elementals' madness. Unfortunately gno one has been able to find it as the area surrounding Blingdenstone is deemed too dangerous for many and the city can not spare the warriors required to escort the wizards and wise-persons. Bree places the Earth Elemental hearts in Nomi’s care. Perhaps they can do some good in time.  
She enquires about the studded leather armor she commissioned. Ezri also commissions a pendant made for the Badger gem we had liberated as well as some fancy garters that can hold her handaxe and silver sickle.


During this time Caius is absolutely not following the other members of the party to make notes of what occurred during his absence, instead he makes smalltalk with the citizens of Blingdenstone to learn more about their culture. Planning to incorporate the information gained into his upcoming performance.
Meanwhile, [[Autun]] visits [[Thrain Thirgoim]], the dwarf armorer, to have his new breastplate fitted. Ducking under the low doorpost to enter, he is met with the sounds of dwarven industry and is immediately tasked with working the bellows. Mightily he heaves, the fires of the forge blazing hot, the air thick with the smell of dwarven singe-beard. A bellow from Thrain demanding restraint settles Autun into a more tempered pace and Thrain soon finishes his task. He turns around and sees Autun for the first time, quite a shock I imagine, suddenly finding a half giant in your smithy… After explaining to Thrain that he is here to have his breastplate fitted, Thrain’s apprentice arrives and they get to the task  of ironcladding our paladin.
Learning of the origin of the hostile sentiment regarding the wererats, who were once the deepgnomes that remained while the rest of the city evacuated to the Mountain dwarves during the Drow raid.
Autun passes an invitation to Thrain for the upcoming festivities and upon revealing the main dish, learns the origin of [[forge whisky]], [[cave fisher]] insides reduced on the forge to a form strong liquor loved by many a dwarf.


[[Ezri]] visits the leatherworker [[Kes Kets]], who loves, nay, adores his chosen materials. "Hard" at work, indeed.
Our Druid enquires on the state of the studded leather armour she had commissioned, which turns out to be nearing completion.
Feeling spendy and bold,  Ezri commissions an additional piece of daring leathery art in the form of a pair of fancy garters that can hold her hand-axe and silver sickle.
To top it al off another item is requested, the Badger’s gem that Ezri keeps on her person needs something better to be carry around in. Perhaps it could be made into a pendant?


Time passes. The hour of the party draws near. No sign of Kais...

It is a sad tail. Where once there was kinship, now there are torn families, resentment, anger and spilt blood.
If only reconciliation could be made. If only these people could be shown that the dangers outside are best braved together..


Our fancy new clothing arrives at the Inn where we are staying, the Foaming Mug.
I now know the second song of tonight.
Bree now has an elegant dress which show off her Dragon Scales, Ezri receives a gown with a black and white pattern reminding of a badger.
 

Time passes. The hour of the party draws near.
 
We gather at the place of revelries at the Inn where we are staying, the Foaming Mug, as the preparations are in full force, Tappy a blur of activity as he darts in and out of the kitchen. Rich aromas fill the room and many a stomach is set a rumble. Our fancy new clothing arrives, Bree now has an elegant dress which shows off her dragon scales, Ezri receives a gown with a black and white pattern reminiscent of a badger's coat. Has anyone seen [[Kais]]? No? Wonder where he is.. Must be off doing some elf thing or something…
 
More time passes, the people of the city slowly start to arrive and the festivities slowly ramp up. Delightful smells fill the air as a fully prepared cave fisher is carried in, defended by a spoon-wielding dire-gnome. A swift blow is dealt to any who dare to even attempt a taste before the [[Diggermattocks]] arrive. They do so fashionable late and the feast begins in earnest. Food is passed around and everyone gets their share.
 
Still no sign of Kais... Should I begin without him?
 
I begin playing some light music while everyone is eating. Bree joins Nomi in the circle of mages and has a discussion about magic. Ezri finds a group of young gnome girls and celebrates by drinking, and drinking and then having another drink. Giggling increasing all the while until mystic mushroom peels fly in an arcane ritual. Ezri learns during this strange game that the name of her spouse's sarts with the letter C. Oh my.
 
The mood is right and I can no longer wait for Kais to arrive. I begin the first song, the [[Epic of the Irregulars]]. The great recounting of our past experiences in the [[Underdark]]. From behind the bar, pointy ears peak up and Kais and Jimothy emerge with two more guests, the long lost [[Topsy and Turvy]]! These deepgnome wererat twins were with us in the first leg of our journey before they made their own way home. They act out the song on stage. The recounting focuses on the positive spirit of heroism and optimism, the growth of Jimjar from a gambling addicted lowlife to a noble selfless hero.
 
The next song is written to begin the process of reconciliation between the exodees and the wererat remainers, the schism of mistrust and shame that was created when half the population left and the other half abandoned to their lycantropic fate.
 
[[Bree]] has a conversation with [[Gurnik Tapfinger]] about what it means to be exiled from ones home. Something [[Bree]] is a little uncomfortable having, but it's good for [[Bree]] to bring these feelings to the fore for once. A comparison was made between [[Bree]]'s and [[Jimjar]]'s experience of getting into trouble and then being forced to leave their home. Gurnik reassures [[Bree]] that were she to return home she would definitely be welcome. [[Bree]] and Gurnik agree that it would be best if [[Rumpadump]] stay behind when the adventurers leave. This will be a safe place for the little funguy, much safer than being with us. [[Bree]] is thankful for Gurnik's kind words, and willingness to look after [[Rumpadump]].
 
I observed Gurnik and Autun in deep conversation. They also discussed the future of Rumpadump. Autun tells me he also agreed it would be best for Rumpadump to stay behind if the little miconid can be convinced of the merit as well. They also spoke some about Jimothy's future, as Autun suspects his spirit and experience shall be needed to stand against the coming chaos. Gurik raised a question or two about Autun's calling and they shared some moments of introspection.
 
Coming around to the slightly inebriated [[Ezri]] Gurnik sits down and motions the last Ezri's drinking buddies away. Ezri finishes her ale and signals Tappy for another round. Whilst Gurnik asks for a round of fire whiskey chasers she asks Ezri what she wants in her life. "Home, back up top and settle, start a family and do the happily ever after." On the question with whom Ezri would start the family with, she starts talking [[Vayana]], the most perfect and beautiful girl in the whole of [[Waterdeep]]. The Alderman's daughter she never dared to confess her love to, and after that one faithful night when she saw her, saw her... Now she'll probably will never dare to. But still Vayana is the woman of Ezri's dreams, living together in a house on the edge of Waterdeep, with their children running around the house, and playing in the woods. Downing another fire whiskey. "But first: I have my duties down here, Iv'e seen things, we the Irregulars, have seen things. And the Irregulars, the weird bunch we are, we became an unlikely family. We have to do this first, before I go back up top." Gurnik gets up and asks Tappy to refill Ezri's fire whiskey once more.

The day started with a difficult conversation, one of the Irregulars has finally reached their home and is now with his family once more. When we leave Blingdenstone, should he remain there? Jimothy Tapfinger, the second best sniper, the terrifying translator, the dread gambler.. We might soon be without. Many have fallen along the way, but he survived. Thrived even. No longer a bet-crazy wreck of a gnome, but now an honoured member of our Adventuring Party. We all have seen his trepidation upon returning, the looks he has received. Is it not better for him to remain with us? His New Family? With sorrow in our hearts we conclude that it is here he belongs. Where we go, towards the sun, he has no place… Jimjar shall stay. But will he be accepted? Perhaps if the people here know how his mettle was tested, that he is a Gnome reforged, someone who can be relied upon..

With these things discussed on empty stomachs, we gather around the table in the common room of the Foaming Mug. Tappy serves a fine meal and we discuss the matters at hand. The party tonight leaves us little time to pay a visit to the Wererat enclave on the outskirts of town, it would be terrible form to miss the festivities we partially instigated. Also, I must admit that I’ve grown curious of the taste of properly prepared Cave Fisher. A day of preparation is sorely needed. Our endless march though this forsaken realm has left many of us with coin to spend and a desire to undergo some retailer therapy. There is also the matter of dealing with this batch of corrupted Earth Elemental Hearts… We do live an interesting life.

Bree takes these Earth Elemental Hearts and pays Nomi Pathshutter a visit. Nomi is delighted with the company and asks Bree if she could help her pick out clothing for the party. Bree selects a black dress for her with a polka dot pattern, quite different from her usual breeks and tunic style of dress. While trying out different outfits, she informs Bree that the Elemental corruption could be caused by something called Ogremoch's Bane, a vile wind originating from somewhere near Blingdenstone. She also mentioned a fabled location named Entemoch's Boon, which is said to have a magical properties that prevent the Earth Elementals' madness. Unfortunately gno one has been able to find it as the area surrounding Blingdenstone is deemed too dangerous for many and the city can not spare the warriors required to escort the wizards and wise-persons. Bree places the Earth Elemental hearts in Nomi’s care. Perhaps they can do some good in time.

Meanwhile, Autun visits Thrain Thirgoim, the dwarf armorer, to have his new breastplate fitted. Ducking under the low doorpost to enter, he is met with the sounds of dwarven industry and is immediately tasked with working the bellows. Mightily he heaves, the fires of the forge blazing hot, the air thick with the smell of dwarven singe-beard. A bellow from Thrain demanding restraint settles Autun into a more tempered pace and Thrain soon finishes his task. He turns around and sees Autun for the first time, quite a shock I imagine, suddenly finding a half giant in your smithy… After explaining to Thrain that he is here to have his breastplate fitted, Thrain’s apprentice arrives and they get to the task of ironcladding our paladin. Autun passes an invitation to Thrain for the upcoming festivities and upon revealing the main dish, learns the origin of forge whisky, cave fisher insides reduced on the forge to a form strong liquor loved by many a dwarf.

Ezri visits the leatherworker Kes Kets, who loves, nay, adores his chosen materials. "Hard" at work, indeed. Our Druid enquires on the state of the studded leather armour she had commissioned, which turns out to be nearing completion. Feeling spendy and bold, Ezri commissions an additional piece of daring leathery art in the form of a pair of fancy garters that can hold her hand-axe and silver sickle. To top it al off another item is requested, the Badger’s gem that Ezri keeps on her person needs something better to be carry around in. Perhaps it could be made into a pendant?

During all this, Caius is absolutely not following the other members of the party to take notes of what occurred during his absence. Instead he makes small talk with the citizens of Blingdenstone to learn more about their culture. Planning to incorporate the information gained into his upcoming performance. I learn of the origin of the hostile sentiment towards the wererats, who were once the deep gnomes that remained while the rest of the city evacuated to the mountain dwarves during the drow raid. It is a sad tail. Where once there was kinship, now there are torn families, resentment, anger and spilt blood. If only reconciliation could be made. If only these people could be shown that the dangers outside are best braved together..

Time passes. The hour of the party draws near.

We gather at the place of revelries at the Inn where we are staying, the Foaming Mug, as the preparations are in full force, Tappy a blur of activity as he darts in and out of the kitchen. Rich aromas fill the room and many a stomach is set a rumble. Our fancy new clothing arrives, Bree now has an elegant dress which shows off her dragon scales, Ezri receives a gown with a black and white pattern reminiscent of a badger's coat. Has anyone seen Kais? No? Wonder where he is.. Must be off doing some elf thing or something…

More time passes, the people of the city slowly start to arrive and the festivities slowly ramp up. Delightful smells fill the air as a fully prepared cave fisher is carried in, defended by a spoon-wielding dire-gnome. A swift blow is dealt to any who dare to even attempt a taste before the Diggermattocks arrive. They do so fashionable late and the feast begins in earnest. Food is passed around and everyone gets their share.

Still no sign of Kais... Should I begin without him?

I begin playing some light music while everyone is eating. Bree joins Nomi in the circle of mages and has a discussion about magic. Ezri finds a group of young gnome girls and celebrates by drinking, and drinking and then having another drink. Giggling increasing all the while until mystic mushroom peels fly in an arcane ritual. Ezri learns during this strange game that the name of her spouse's sarts with the letter C. Oh my.

The mood is right and I can no longer wait for Kais to arrive. I begin the first song, the Epic of the Irregulars. The great recounting of our past experiences in the Underdark. From behind the bar, pointy ears peak up and Kais and Jimothy emerge with two more guests, the long lost Topsy and Turvy! These deepgnome wererat twins were with us in the first leg of our journey before they made their own way home. They act out the song on stage. The recounting focuses on the positive spirit of heroism and optimism, the growth of Jimjar from a gambling addicted lowlife to a noble selfless hero.

The next song is written to begin the process of reconciliation between the exodees and the wererat remainers, the schism of mistrust and shame that was created when half the population left and the other half abandoned to their lycantropic fate.

Bree has a conversation with Gurnik Tapfinger about what it means to be exiled from ones home. Something Bree is a little uncomfortable having, but it's good for Bree to bring these feelings to the fore for once. A comparison was made between Bree's and Jimjar's experience of getting into trouble and then being forced to leave their home. Gurnik reassures Bree that were she to return home she would definitely be welcome. Bree and Gurnik agree that it would be best if Rumpadump stay behind when the adventurers leave. This will be a safe place for the little funguy, much safer than being with us. Bree is thankful for Gurnik's kind words, and willingness to look after Rumpadump.

I observed Gurnik and Autun in deep conversation. They also discussed the future of Rumpadump. Autun tells me he also agreed it would be best for Rumpadump to stay behind if the little miconid can be convinced of the merit as well. They also spoke some about Jimothy's future, as Autun suspects his spirit and experience shall be needed to stand against the coming chaos. Gurik raised a question or two about Autun's calling and they shared some moments of introspection.

Coming around to the slightly inebriated Ezri Gurnik sits down and motions the last Ezri's drinking buddies away. Ezri finishes her ale and signals Tappy for another round. Whilst Gurnik asks for a round of fire whiskey chasers she asks Ezri what she wants in her life. "Home, back up top and settle, start a family and do the happily ever after." On the question with whom Ezri would start the family with, she starts talking Vayana, the most perfect and beautiful girl in the whole of Waterdeep. The Alderman's daughter she never dared to confess her love to, and after that one faithful night when she saw her, saw her... Now she'll probably will never dare to. But still Vayana is the woman of Ezri's dreams, living together in a house on the edge of Waterdeep, with their children running around the house, and playing in the woods. Downing another fire whiskey. "But first: I have my duties down here, Iv'e seen things, we the Irregulars, have seen things. And the Irregulars, the weird bunch we are, we became an unlikely family. We have to do this first, before I go back up top." Gurnik gets up and asks Tappy to refill Ezri's fire whiskey once more.
